Who are we?

BAIS Student Ambassadors act as representative of the BAIS major and work to broaden the understanding of the BAIS major, provide support for current BAIS students, and connect with prospective students.

To connect with a BAIS Student Ambassador, you can email an ambassador you would like to speak with at their email address listed below.

Why BAIS: BAIS has provided me with leverage and helped me secure my first internship. Familiarity with all things covered in the BAIS curriculum is going to be so important in the workforce after graduation. Beyond that, the BAIS community is so supportive and is structured to provide students with success. Having a strong BAIS toolkit also comes in handy in my accounting classes as well!

Fun fact: I am also a campus tour guide.

Majors: Business Analytics & Information Systems and Marketing

Why BAIS: I chose BAIS because I’ve always been curious about the why behind everything. The BAIS major gives students the skills to answer all sorts of questions in an insightful and interactive way. In a constantly evolving field, the BAIS major fosters a collaborative space of students and faculty willing to tackle new challenges and create real-world solutions.

Advice for prospective students: Be adventurous and try new things! There is a wonderful community of students and faculty within the BAIS major that want the best for all their peers, both within Tippie and beyond. An adventurous attitude will create many opportunities and lifelong friendships!

Fun fact: I am a live-music lover and have attended over 30 concerts!

Position: Marketing Chair
Hometown: Naperville, IL
Year: Senior
Majors: Business Analytics & Information Systems and Marketing
Minors/Certificates: Sport and Recreation Management Minor

Why BAIS: I chose BAIS because I have always been interested in the analysis of data and understanding the reasoning and “why” of information. The major really challenges you to understand data, which is a skill that will continue to become even more important as the world continues to evolve.

Advice for prospective students: Get involved on campus early! College is a great place to discover yourself and meet people similar to you. Building a strong group of friends in the community will help you expand your network, develop new skills, and open doors to exciting opportunities.

Fun fact: I am a super big basketball fan! My friends and I got on the jumbotron 4 times the last time we went to an NBA game!

Position: Community Chair
Hometown: Arlington Heights, IL
Year: Junior
Majors: BAIS and Accounting
Minors/Certificates: Political Science

Why BAIS: I chose BAIS for all the opportunities it offers and the promotion of critical and creative thinking. I would consider myself to be very analytical and one that enjoys problem solving. Having been drawn in through information systems and foundations, I knew this was the place to be. Also, the BAIS community is so strong and all of the faculty here want to see you succeed and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure you’re successful both inside and outside of the classroom. The skills I’ve learned in BAIS also translate very well in my accounting classes.

Advice for prospective students: Connect with your classmates and faculty! It is eye opening to see how different minds approach problem-solving. Finding what works for you will be your competitive edge.

Fun fact: I’m a huge LEGO Star Wars enthusiast!
