Position: Lead chair
Hometown: Cedar Rapids, IA
Year: 4
Majors: BAIS and Marketing
Minors/Certificates: Art
Why BAIS: I chose BAIS because it bridges the gap between creative thinking and analytical skills, both things that I am passionate about! I think it’s fascinating to take data and transform it into actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and innovation. The coursework is engaging and the BAIS faculty are amazing, making the experience even more rewarding!
Advice for prospective students: Don’t let the resources available to you go to waste! Tippie and the University have a wide breadth of resources at your disposal. Whether it be VMock to edit your resume, mock interviews, or your academic advisor, there are a multitude of systems that are set in place to best support you and your academic, personal, and professional growth.
Fun fact: I love to try new foods and like to consider myself an adventurous eater! Some things I’ve tried include kangaroo and live octopus.

Why BAIS: I chose BAIS because it offers so many opportunities for simply being curious. A lot of change is derived from analytical work, and I am very passionate about contributing to a brighter future. A BAIS degree will challenge you to think critically, solve problems, and innovate. You'll develop skills that equip you to work in virtually any industry and meet so many motivated students and faculty along the way.
Advice for prospective students: Connect with your classmates and faculty! It is eye opening to see how different minds approach problem-solving. Finding what works for you will be your competitive edge.
Fun fact: A hobby of mine is trying to cook difficult egg omelets, omurice is what I am currently tackling.
