With my extensive experience in dynamic and growth-oriented organizations such as Women in Business, the Dore-Tippie Women Leaders program, the University of Iowa's Honors College, and Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity, I feel confident in my ability to contribute to the success of Tippie Senate.  I have held multiple committee chair positions within these organizations and am prepared to use the leadership skills I gained from them in Tippie Senate.  I am excited to implement new ideas such as expanding varied conversations in Tippie and hosting fundraisers for programs centered around varied initiatives.

As an avid member of MBSA, DSP, and BSAO here at Tippie, I've had the pleasure of experiencing firsthand how great the community is. These organizations have allowed me to grow my network, experience new opportunities, and push myself out of my comfort zone. These organizations, with my other campus jobs, have helped me find my footing here at Iowa. As a senator, I hope to be a student that everyone feels comfortable approaching with any concerns, ideas, or questions. I fervently believe that the people make Tippie great; therefore, it is immensely important to get feedback from students.   One of my greatest hopes as a senator is to be a resource for students hoping to join Tippie's student organizations. It can be exceedingly difficult and daunting to join a club after the initial student org fair and even after the first year at school. With connections to the various clubs in the college, I'd like to provide a welcoming space where students feel comfortable asking questions about the clubs when it's not the standard recruiting season and connecting them with individuals in the organizations.  Overall, as a senator, I hope to be able to give back to Tippie. The college and community have helped me grow both personally and professionally. I hope to provide that same environment I thrived in for others.

I'm a brother in the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity and I’m currently the chapter’s corporate relations chair. I’m also a member of the Financial Management Association, where I’m the active VP of Recruitment. I believe I would be a valuable member of the Tippie Senate because of my strong ambitions for the role and my unrelenting work-ethic, helping the Senate to work as a group to better our community at the Tippie College of Business.

Daniela Paladino

Hello! My name is Daniela Paladino, and I am currently a sophomore at Iowa studying Risk Management & Insurance, Finance and Mathematics. In Tippie, I am currently a Lean-In Circle Leader for Women in Business, and a member of InvestHer and Gamma Iota Sigma. I am also Fundraising Chair for A Moment of Magic. As a Tippie Senator, I would bring value to the organization through my strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and outgoing personality. With Tippie Senate, I would hope to review academic policies to ensure students are benefiting from each one, as well as provide students with opportunities to hear opinions from others about the classes Tippie offers. Overall, I look forward to working with new people and making a positive impact on Tippie!

I am actively involved in Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, where I serve as the Chancellor. Within this role, I lead weekly presentations for our chapter and orchestrate emails to inform members of events for that upcoming week. As Chancellor, my passion is promoting welcoming encouragement by recognizing and honoring the accomplishments of all members. In addition, I am a part of Moneythink, a club dedicated to communicating financial literacy tools to less financially secure high school students. This experience has expanded my perspective with students of varied backgrounds and who may not have the same privileges that I have. This experience has changed my outlook, providing an increased desire to help others succeed in areas they may be struggling in. My candidacy for the position of Tippie Senator is highlighted by my strong drive and work ethic. I constantly strive to excel in my own goals, always looking for improvements. If I were to be selected as a Senator, I would be excited to enhance cohesive teamwork within our team to generate innovative ideas to improve the Tippie community. My main objectives are to promote smaller, lesser-known clubs to increase student engagement and awareness. Additionally, I want to form closer connections with the graduate school by creating collaborative events to help undergraduate students gain insights into the graduate program. These initiatives align with my vision for a more cohesive and welcoming academic environment within Tippie.

Kyle Pratt

Hi! My name is Kyle Pratt, and I’m a first-year finance and accounting student within Tippie. I’m currently involved in a few organizations here on campus, including Tippie Students for Service, Financial Management Association, HawkTrade, Society for Human Resource management, PAWS at Iowa, and the Iowa Writers Club. These past two semesters have been nothing short of amazing, and I am incredibly grateful for the people I’ve met and the ways I’ve been able to get involved as a Hawkeye thus far. I first found out about Tippie Senate at the Tippie Student Organization and Involvement fair back in January. After hearing that I could make a real difference and advocate for others in Tippie, I knew I wanted to run for election. I would be a valuable addition to Tippie Senate because I truly want every business student to feel as welcomed, included, and supported as I have during my first year. Everyone should feel like they belong, and I’m passionate about making that happen. I think student outreach should be our top priority, and fun activities that draw a wide variety of people with differing interests can help with that. Tippie shouldn’t just be a college, but a place where everyone can find their people. No one is alone in this, and Tippie Senate can help every student feel as though they have somebody to lean on. As a senator, I want to be a part of the reason why Tippie feels like home!

Carter Rial

Hi I'm Carter! I'm originally from Fort Dodge, Iowa. I came to the University of Iowa because it’s close to home and I’ve always been a Hawkeyes fan. On campus, I’m involved in Hawktrade, TBHS, and my social fraternity Phi Kappa Psi. I’ll also be joining the direct admit peer mentor team next fall. Throughout high school, I was involved in student government, where I had the privilege of serving as student body president. I’ve always enjoyed student government and leadership roles in general, and it’s something I’d love to continue here by serving on Tippie Senate. As a senator, I’d bring professionalism, an upbeat spirit, and a unique perspective to the table. I’d plan on further developing the culture of collaboration between Tippie senate, other student organizations, and faculty at Tippie. I’d also advocate for initiatives that help newer students find their place in Tippie organizations, which has been one of my favorite parts of college so far. When I’m not working on my academics or extracurriculars, I love to work out, read, and play golf.

Vox Spreg

My name is Vox Spreg, I'm originally from Oahu, Hawaii, and I'm a sophomore student studying finance. I am a researcher for HawkTrade, a member of the Financial Management Association, a member of the Tippie Honor Society, and an honors student. I am running for Tippie Senate because I want to do my part in helping Iowa business students prepare for their careers after college, which I know can be quite a challenging process. I also want to establish resources for Tippie students that will make things easier for introverts like myself who usually have a harder time getting involved on campus and networking with business professionals.
