Zeina Aboushaar
Zeina Aboushaar is a senior studying finance and economics on the pre-law track. She was born in Damascus, Syria and moved to Michigan where she attended the International Academy. She is a Dean's List student who has held several leadership positions on campus including being a Peer mentor at Bizedge, a Direct Admit Peer Mentor, a Frank Center consultant, and was a finalist for the 2022 National Diversity Case Competition. Zeina is also the founder and president of Amnesty International and Students Organize for Syria. During her college career, Zeina International finance in London, which ignited her passion for global finance and international relations. She has also completed numerous internships, including an internship for a start-up tech company through Harvard Innovation Lab and as a financial analyst at JP Morgan, which helped her discover her passion for financial and technology consulting. Zeina also conducted research for the Chair of the Economics Department and learned how to do data analysis while gaining extensive knowledge about economics and game theory. Zeina will be a commencement speaker for the spring 2023 graduation and plans to move to Detroit to work for the PwC consulting tam after. She is thankful for her family, friends, and the professors and mentors she has been able to connect with at Tippie.
Isabel Anderson
Isabel is a senior graduating in May 2023 with a BBA in Economics and Management and an International Business Certificate. Over the past four years, she sought out opportunities to lead and give back to Tippie through student employment, student organizations, and research. She has served as the VP of Training for the Business Student Ambassador Organization, as a Career Peer Advisor at the Pomerantz Center, as Auditing Chair for Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, and as a member on the Tippie Judicial Board. Outside of the classroom, Isabel pursued unique learning opportunities through studying abroad in Sydney, Australia and researching with Dr. Emma Harrington. She is thankful for her huge support network at the University who shaped her college experience, prepared her for a career post-grad, and guided her to internships with Hy-Vee and ProCircular. After graduation, she will be moving to St. Louis to work for Schlichter Bogard & Denton LLP as a Legal Analyst.
Regan Day
Regan is a junior triple majoring in Marketing, Business Analytics & Information Systems, and Political Science. She is currently involved in multiple campus organizations and programs as a Social Media Intern for the Tippie College of Business, a Marketing Institute Scholar, a Peer Mentor, an Undergraduate Research Fellow, and an ICRU Ambassador. She is also a member of the University Honors Program and the Tippie Business Honor Society. She has completed summer internships in the marketing field at both the World Food Prize Foundation and the Iowa Secretary of State's Office and will work as a Marketing Communications Intern at Sammons Financial Group this upcoming summer. Regan is honored to be named a recipient of the Tippie Top 21 Award and is incredibly appreciative of all the life-changing experiences that Tippie has granted her the past three years.
Lily Dosedel
Lily Dosedel is a second-year honors student double majoring in Marketing and Business Analytics & Information Systems with a minor in Chinese. For the past two years, Lily has strived to take advantage of everything the University of Iowa has to offer. She is the Vice President of Marketing for the Multicultural Business Student Association, a mentor for the BizEdge Mentoring Program, a Marketing Institute consultant, and a Tippie Direct Admit Seminar Peer Mentor. She is also involved in the Global Engagement Student Advisory Board, Tippie International Buddies, the Tippie Business Honor Society, and represented the university in the 2023 National Diversity Case Competition. Among her most meaningful involvements, Lily is a social media marketing intern for the Tippie College of Business, where she gets to use her passion for creativity to contribute to campaigns that highlight students within the college. Lily is grateful for the supportive community of friends, faculty, and staff she’s found within Tippie and hopes to continue making a positive difference on campus.
Paul Eikenberry
Paul is a fourth-year student from Neola, Iowa who will graduate with highest distinction in May 2023. He will receive degrees in Economics and Management with a minor in Sports and Recreation Management. Throughout his time at the University of Iowa, Paul held three leadership positions within the Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity, including most recently as Chapter President. During his leadership tenure, Paul was a constant advocate for creating and promoting mental health resources in addition to furthering sexual violence prevention initiatives. Paul also held a four-year internship with the University of Iowa's Trademark Licensing Office, where he developed a holistic National Champions Licensing Program to be enacted should any of the University's 22 varsity sports programs win a NCAA National Championship. Additionally, Paul represented the University of Iowa by competing in the Eller Ethics Case Competition, receiving first place in the essay category and second place overall. Paul was also an active member of the Tippie Undergraduate Judicial Board and Tippie Business Honor Society. Paul is honored to receive the Tippie Top 21 Award and is grateful for the opportunities, relationships, and memories provided to him by the Tippie College of Business over the past four years.
Reed Fehseke
Reed Fehseke is a junior majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science and on the Pre-Law Track. Throughout his time at Tippie, Reed has demonstrated outstanding leadership and mentorship qualities, holding several prominent positions including President of HawkTrade, Director of Professional Development for Tippie Real Estate Club, a scholar in The Hawkinson Institute of Business Finance, and a brother of the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. Outside of the University, he has gained invaluable experiences through multiple internships, including his participation in iXperience's global career accelerator program in Cape Town, South Africa. While there, he received rigorous coursework in Private Equity/Venture Capital valuation and worked with a South African startup company. Since his return, Reed has been working to boost the college's global presence by promoting iXperience throughout Tippie and helping his peers secure admission to the program. This summer, he will be interning for William Blair as an Investment Banking Analyst in Chicago. He is thankful for all the opportunities, friendships, and memories Tippie offers, and is honored to receive the Tippie Top 21 Award.
Ignacio Gomez
Ignacio Gomez is a third-year student at the University of Iowa majoring in Economics with a minor in International Relations and an International Business certificate. During his time at Iowa, Ignacio has participated in numerous clubs and events. He is the VP of Philanthropy and Service for the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity on campus, the VP of DEI for the Interfraternity Council. For the College of Business, Ignacio has been a mentor for the Direct Admit Seminar Program, BizEdge Mentoring Program and Tippie Gateway. Ignacio maintains a 3.27 GPA and is the recipient of the Alliant Energy/Erroll B. Davis, Jr. Achievement Award and was recently selected to be part of the Tippie Top 21
Neah Howlett
Neah Howlett is a fourth- year student studying Business Analytics and Information Systems, and Marketing. Throughout her time here at the College of Business, she has gained a unique perspective through the diverse experiences that she has been involved in. Neah currently serves as a Tippie Senator on the student governing body, is a DEI Ambassador and Coordinator for Tippie's Black in Business Program, and is a Data Management and Analysis Intern at the UI Department of Academic Support & Retention. Neah has also been a tour guide for the Business Student Ambassador Organization, a Social Media Consultant for the College of Business, and a Research Assistant for Andrea Luangrath within the marketing department. Her pride and joy, however, is the work that she has done to further DEI efforts within the College of Business. She strives to bring inclusivity and representation in and outside of the classroom. Neah recently received the Student Leadership award from the UI Center for Inclusive Academic Excellence, for her work with diversity and inclusion in Tippie. After graduation, Neah will be moving to New York City, where she will be working full-time in marketing and data analytics for IBM in their Manhattan office.
Christina Kaufman
Christina is a Senior from Oak Brook, Illinois majoring in Business Analytics and Information Systems and earning a Certificate in Leadership Studies. During her time at the University of Iowa, Christina has been involved in Iowa Athletics, the Iowa Student Athlete Advising Committee, Tippie Gender Inclusivity Task Force, and Women in Business (WIB). Christina is passionate about promoting gender equity as President of WIB, a Title IX advocate for athletics, and a future professional in a male-dominated industry. She has used her leadership platform to prioritize important conversations around how Tippie and WIB can operate in a more inclusive way and create a culture that values authenticity. She is forever grateful for her experiences and all she has learned at Tippie and is proud to be a Hawkeye.
Madelyn Luegering
Madelyn, a fourth-year student, is pursuing a dual major in Business Analytics & Information Systems and Biology. During her time at Tippie, she has been an active member of the BAIS Student Ambassadors and a Peer Mentor for Tippie's Direct Admit Seminar. Recently, she has taken on the role of Site Services Coordinator for the Executive MBA program. Her passion for international experiences has driven her to seek out opportunities that provide global exposure. Madelyn has spent the last two summer breaks abroad, one in Costa Rica and the other in the Netherlands, which have contributed significantly to her personal and academic growth. She will be interning as an Analytics and Planning Intern at TekLink International this summer and is excited to gain industry knowledge for her future career planning. Madelyn is thrilled to be recognized for her achievements alongside her peers and is grateful for the connections she has made at Tippie.
Nikole Molina
Nikole is a senior from Muscatine, IA studying business analytics & information systems with a minor in Spanish and the International Business Certificate. She currently serves as president of the Multicultural Business Student Association, a student organization she has been a member of since her freshman year at the University of Iowa. Additionally, she is a DEI Ambassador for Tippie and a coordinator for the BizEdge Mentoring Program. During her college career, Nikole competed in the National Diversity Case Competition, won the Alliant Energy/Erroll B. Davis, Jr. Achievement Award, and mentored incoming first-year students for 2 years in BizEdge and Iowa Edge. In 2022, she interned with Best Buy's corporate office as a category management analyst. Following graduation, Nikole will be working as a technology consultant for EY in Dallas, Texas. Nikole will miss the community she has created at Tippie and is grateful for the friends, family, faculty, and professors who have helped shape her college experience. She is honored to receive the Tippie Top 21 Award.
Suraj Moorjani
Suraj is a junior studying Finance & Economics with a minor in International Relations. Here at Iowa, he is involved in Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, South Asian Student Alliance, and United Nations Association. He engages with the Iowa City community by serving as a Board Member for the Johnson County United Nations Association. He also works as a Front Desk Clerk at Burge Hall. Suraj recently completed an exchange semester at the Vienna University of Economics and Business where he engaged in unique coursework pertaining to European Law and Economics. He is passionate about bridging the gap between Iowa City and Vienna by encouraging Hawkeyes to take part in this immersive opportunity. With gratitude towards his peers and mentors, he is honored to be a recipient of this award and values making Tippie a more inclusive place to foster educational growth in business. This summer, Suraj looks forward to continuing his professional career as a Commercial Banking Analyst at BMO in Chicago.
Brooke Nickelson
Brooke is a junior double majoring in Management and Marketing and earning her International Business Certificate. During her time at the University of Iowa, she wants to make a difference on campus and in each of the communities she is dedicated to. Brooke studied abroad twice, held the Presidency of a newly founded business organization connecting Jewish and non-Jewish students with a business mindset, held two Vice President positions within her sorority (VP of Membership and VP of Finance & Philanthropy), dedicated herself as a part of the first-ever scholarship recipient class in the undergraduate DORE Emerging Women Leaders Program, assisted as a member of the Business Student Ambassador Organization and led multiple classes as a Tippie Direct Admit Peer Mentor. She represented the inaugural Tippie College of Business team as the exclusive student advisor competing at the Apple, Inc. National Women's Case Competition earning national runner-up status. Brooke would like to thank all those around her, including friends, family and mentors, for pushing her to explore and succeed in her diverse endeavors. Angela Pandit
Angela is a graduating senior from Bettendorf, Iowa with a major in Finance, a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in International Business. She is a Dean's List student, graduating with university honors, and has a diverse portfolio of experiences. Her most meaningful work has been as Vice President of the Multicultural Business Student Association where she has planned professional trips, multiple Diversity Dinners, and cultural conversations while promoting professionalism and DEI initiatives at Tippie. In addition to her involvement in MBSA, Angela is also a member of the Tippie Business Honors Society and Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. She has interned at the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center for the Startup Incubator program, where she promoted entrepreneurship and leadership. Last semester, she studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where she gained practical knowledge, cultural competence, and improved her Spanish fluency. During her semester abroad, she volunteered at a soup kitchen, learning more about the local culture and the socio-economic disparity in Spain. She is also a Diversity Ambassador for the study abroad program where she promotes study abroad opportunities to students of all backgrounds. After graduation, Angela plans to attend the University of Iowa College of Law.
Anand Patel
Anand Patel, "AP," is a Senior majoring in Finance and Marketing Analytics graduating in December of 2023 with honors. He started at the University of Iowa in the Spring of 2020 after attending training for the Iowa Army National Guard during the Fall prior. Since then he has maintained a 4.0 GPA, has been VP of Membership and Recruitment Chair for Phi Gamma Nu, been on multiple committees for Indian Student Alliance, DEI Co-Chair for Tippie Business Honors Society, and is now the proud President of Moneythink, a Tippie service organization that educates underprivileged high school students on financial literacy. Additionally, he has worked as a Tippie Learning Coach for Statistics for Business, a Research Assistant alongside Professor Amy Colbert for a thesis on the international receptivity of co-ops, and is now the first Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Tippie Behavioral Lab. Through his Financial Analytics internship at Pro-Circular and his Business Development internship at Becker's Healthcare, he learned Finance and Marketing on their own were not his passion and instead decided to pursue Consulting as a start to his career. He will be studying abroad through the CIMBA Italy program next semester and following graduation, AP will join RSM as a Business Applications Consulting Associate in the Dallas, TX office. He is thankful for his peers and mentors in the Tippie community who have supported him and is extremely humbled to be recognized among Tippie's Top 21.
Michael Pressler
Michael is a Senior and will graduate in December of 2023 with degrees in Finance and Business Analytics and a Certificate of Leadership. Since his sophomore year, he has worked year-round in internship roles; first for Wintrust Financial and currently for TS Imagine. While at Wintrust Financial Corporation, he worked as a Project Manager in the Information Technology department. In the Summer of 2022, Michael became a Financial Technology Intern at TS Imagine in New York City. In the Fall of 2022, he partnered with the Tippie College of Business leaders to establish a first-of-its-kind, on-campus office for TS Imagine and recruited a team of five new interns. Michael led the team to complete a variety of projects, including one that increased annualized revenues by 5%. Leveraging his extensive internship experience, he worked with Tippie faculty to develop a corporate ambassador program to raise awareness for internship roles for participating companies. The ambassadors speak at classes and career fairs to highlight their internship programs. Michael's goal with the ambassador program is to elevate the University of Iowa as a destination for employers who want to hire high-caliber talent.
Kira Price
Kira Price is a third-year honors student at Iowa studying finance and accounting along with a minor in Spanish. Originally from Clinton, Iowa, Kira interned in West Des Moines, Iowa last summer at Midwest Growth Partners. She will be interning at Goldman Sachs as a summer analyst in their investment banking division this summer in New York City. Kira is a member of the Hawkinson Institute of Business Finance, and has held a number of leadership positions in student organizations associated with Tippie including the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, the Multicultural Business Student Association, and Tippie Students for Service. She was also a Peer Mentor the past two consecutive fall semesters for first-year students directly admitted into the Tippie College of Business. Outside of school and work, Kira enjoys spending time with friends and family, drawing, and painting.
Maria Rodrigues Leite
Maria is a first generation sophomore student, majoring in Management, with an International Business certificate and a Political Science minor. She was born in Sorocaba, Brazil and decided to challenge herself by coming to an American University, five thousand miles from home. During her two years at the University, she has found an amazing community through her involvement as a Peer Mentor, a Global Ambassador for Tippie Buddies and as VP of Recruitment for the Business Student Ambassador Organization (BSAO). Her main goal has always been to advocate for her peers, create a more inclusive campus and help increase the recruitment of International Students. In the next two years she plans to keep working on those goals by serving as a Senator in the Undergraduate Student Government, as Social Media Director for the International Student Advisory Board, and as a VP of Membership for BSAO. Maria plans to complete three experiential learning courses and one internship by graduation, in May 2025. Tippie has become Maria's home away from home and the place where she can find support from the amazing faculty, staff and peers. She hopes to continue to give back and be a welcoming face in the community.
Haley Stessman
Haley Stessman is a fourth year student studying Business Analytics and Information Systems with minors in Sport and Recreation Management, and Spanish. She is a presidential scholar and member of the Honors Program. Throughout her time at Tippie, she has been an active member of Business Student Outreach Ambassadors, and served on the executive board as V.P. of Scheduling and Logistics this past year. This past winter she participated in the National Collegiate Sports Analytics Competition, where she was the highest individual scorer from Tippie and the Tippie team placed 1st overall. Outside of Tippie, she created the role of Assistant Analyst within the University of Iowa Football Program, interned with the Minnesota Vikings, and runs her own sports blog. Post-grad she will be working with the Indianapolis Colts as a CRM & Business Analyst!
Patrick Tunks
Patrick is a sophomore from Altoona, Iowa double majoring in accounting and finance with a certificate in nonprofit leadership and philanthropy. During his time in Tippie, he has been highly involved and held various leadership roles. He has served as President of Tippie Senate, Vice President of Community Service for Delta Sigma Pi, a Tippie Peer Mentor, and a member of the Tippie Gender Inclusivity Task Force. Outside of his involvement in activities, Patrick is a University Honors Program Presidential Scholar and has expanded his education through experiential learning such as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, Applied Equity Valuation, and studying abroad in London, England. Patrick is also a scholar in the Hawkinson Institute, where he has developed his passion for finance. This has led to a private equity internship this summer at Midwest Growth Partners and accepting an investment banking internship with BMO Capital Markets in Chicago for summer 2024. Patrick is incredibly grateful for his family, friends, professors, and mentors who have supported him and is honored to be recognized among Tippie's Top 21.
McKenzie Turner
McKenzie is a junior from Waukee, IA studying Finance with a minor in English. During her time at the University of Iowa, McKenzie has been a champion for diversity efforts. She has had the pleasure of being a Black in Business Series Coordinator, through her work as a DEI Ambassador for the university. Additionally, she promotes diversity in programs such as Gateway Mentors and Tippie Thrive Advisory Board for mental health advocacy. Furthermore, she represents her school as a Business Student Ambassador, assisting admissions to reflect all students and their needs. She is a member of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, Tippie Business Honor Society, and Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Society. This summer, McKenzie will be a Financial Advising Intern at Deloitte in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is honored to have received the Tippie Top 21 award and thankful for all the friends and family who have helped her along the way.
