Students have the right to file complaints. If a student has a complaint regarding a Tippie course or Tippie instructor, the student should contact the instructor or course supervisor first. If not resolved, the student may contact the Departmental Executive Officer (DEO) who oversees the department offering the course. DEO contact information is provided at the top of the course syllabus. The college typically reviews formal complaints only for the current or previous semester. If the student's complaint is not resolved at the collegiate level, depending on the nature of the complaint the student may contact the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, or the Office of Civil Rights Compliance utilizing the procedure specified in the University Policy Manual II-3.3. Additional information regarding Student Complaints Concerning Actions of Faculty Members may be found on the Dean of Students website.
