Welcome to Tippie Graduate & Professional Programs
Welcome to the Tippie community—we're glad you're here! Before your first class begins, there are a few key steps to complete. We've organized everything to make it easy to get started, along with resources and services you can access at the bottom of the page.
Getting started
| Step 1. Schedule an advising appointment | Schedule an advising appointment with your academic advising team, assigned by geographic location. Your advising team can help answer your questions, create a personalized course plan, discuss your experiences, and review your progress toward degree and/or certificate completion. |
| Step 2. Activate your HawkID & University of Iowa email account | HawkID: Activate your HawkID and create a password. Instructions can be found in an email from be-a-hawkeye@uiowa.edu or on the UI ITS website. University of Iowa Email: After you activate your HawkID, you can access your Office 365 account using your HawkID and password, and your email will generate automatically. It may take up to 24 hours to access all University of Iowa systems, including your email. |
| Step 3. Complete New Student Orientation | All students are required to review all modules and complete the quizzes within New Student Orientation. Orientation is an online, self-paced tutorial designed to guide you through an overview of program details and important steps to prepare you for your first semester. You'll be able to access the New Student Orientation course approximately 2-3 business days after you activate your HawkID. An email invitation will be sent to your uiowa.edu email account from "University of Iowa <notifications@instructure.com>" with the subject line: Course Invitation. |
