  • Thursday, January 15 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. (in-person): Corridor Business Journal Economic Forecast Luncheon
    • Event Details: The CBJ’s largest event of the year, the Economic Forecast Luncheon, features a keynote speaker and panel of local business leaders who will provide insight into where the economy is heading and the biggest opportunities and challenges facing their industries and the region.

  • Monday, November 17 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. (in-person): Des Moines Data & Analytics Transforming Customer Experience Insights
    • Event Description: The John Deere Experience Customer Survey team and John Deere Financial Customer Experience team will be talking about the process of upgrading text-based analytics tools with the use of Generative AI. These teams work with large amounts of data to enhance the voice of the customer to the whole John Deere Enterprise.
  • Thursday, November 20 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. (in-person): Young Professionals Connection + Ankeny Young Professionals After Hours
    • Event Description: Join Ankeny Young Professionals (AYP) and Young Professionals Connection (YPC) for a collaborative after-hours networking event at the beautiful Ankeny Golf and Country Club!

      This special evening is a great opportunity to connect with fellow young professionals from across the metro, expand your network, and build meaningful relationships in a relaxed, social setting. Enjoy light appetizers and enjoy the golf simulator at the course as you mix and mingle with peers from both organizations.

  • Saturday, November 22 from 8:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (in-person): Young Professionals Connection Construction Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity
    • Event Description: Help make dreams of homeownership a reality for hardworking, low-income families in our new home construction builds. Volunteers assist with framing, siding, flooring, trimming, painting, installing doors and windows, landscaping and more! No experience is needed. Construction managers from Habitat for Humanity will teach you anything you need to know on site.
  • Thursday, December 4 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. CT (online): Business Record Project515: Housing Outlook 2025
  • Thursday, December 11 from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. (in-person): Technology Association of Iowa December TechBrew
    • Event Description: Connect over coffee and dive into a tech discussion with Karmen Dillon, Chief Information Officer at University of Northern Iowa. Join us on Thursday, December 11th, from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., at West End Architectural Salvage.
  • Thursday, January 8 from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. (in-person): Business Record 2026 Book of Lists Unveiling
    • Event Description: This is the first MUST attend event of the new year and you don't want to miss it. Make sure to start your year off in a meaningful way by networking with the region’s top leaders and influencers.

      Be one of the first in Central Iowa to receive a copy of the new Book of Lists, the definitive resource guide for business professionals in the Central Iowa area. Plus find out who our readers selected as the Most Influential Business Leader and the Most Influential Nonprofit. The annual publication contains listings of businesses across 70-plus industries, a community calendar, market research and more. All entrances are accessible and seating will be available. The event is free and open to the public with RSVP.
