  • Thursday, July 18 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. (in-person): Downtown Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Third Thursday Networking at the Des Moines Biergarten
    • Event Descripition: This month's host is the DSM Biergarten in Water Works Park. Find us East of the Lauridsen Amphitheater under the tree canopy in Water Works Park.

      Join us every Third Thursday of the month at an amazing host restaurant on the Des Moines West Side for a chance to experience and learn about the amazing amenities the West Side has to offer. Connect with fellow business leaders and community members over drinks and appetizers.

  • Thursday, July 18 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. (in-person): Young Professionals Connection (YPC) July Happy Hour Social
    • Event Description: Come join Young Professionals Connection (YPC) for a chance to socialize with current, new, and prospective members. This is a great opportunity to enjoy time together and catch up with friends and colleagues, both new and old. Come and go as you please and we encourage you to bring a friend! If you don't know anyone else, that's okay -- this is the place to make a friend!
  • Wednesday, July 31 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. (in-person): United Way of Central Iowa Building Move-In Baskets with LINC
    • Event Description: Join us, in partnership with Iowa Homeless Youth Center (IHYC), to create move-in baskets for their housing programs to support individuals transitioning out of homelessness and into housing.

      Help LINC collect items for move in baskets throughout the month of July. LINC Champions within their respective companies can collect items from the list below and on July 30 the items will be picked up from their office and brought to the Iowa Homeless Youth Center. All donated items will be used to build move-in baskets during LINC's volunteer event on July 31.

  • Wednesday, July 31 from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. (in-person): Young Non-Profit Professionals Network (YPN) Member Meet Up @ Zoo Brew
    • Event Description: Join us July 31 from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. for a casual networking meet up at Blank Park Zoo during one of the best summer stops - zoo brew with live entertainment from local act "The Sheet".  Our homebase will be the African Boardwalk for the evening - find us on the map. Please note this is a 21+ event and a valid photo ID is required to enter the facility.
  • Thursday, August 1 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. (in-person): Business Record Women of Influence
    • Event Description: For over 25 years, the Business Record has recognized women who have made outstanding contributions to the community in a variety of areas with the Women of Influence awards. Awards will be presented at a reception on Thursday, August 1.

      The Women of Influence awards celebrate the work of women who have made a difference. They have devoted their lives to doing things most wouldn’t. They have spent countless hours on various boards and are role models with impeccable ethics. They have blazed a trail either personally or professionally for other women to follow.

      The Women of Influence event will recognize Central Iowa women for their contributions in the public or private sector. Winners are chosen based on the impact they have made in their chosen field or for their contributions through civic and philanthropic organizations. This event will also award the Woman Business Owner of the Year and Emerging Woman of Influence.

  • Saturday, August 3 from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. (in-person): Young Profession Connection (YPC) 2024 Annual Gala
    • Event Description: Each year young professionals and business leaders come together to reflect, connect, and engage with the Greater Des Moines Community.

      This year our theme is Seeds of Change. The formal gala will include a networking hour, dinner, YPC review and preview, keynote presentation, and music.

  • Thursday, August 8 from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. (in-person): Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) Tech Brew
    • Event Description: Join us for a coffee, networking, and a tech discussion at West End Architectural Salvage on Thursday, August 8th, from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. This month, we’re joined by Dave Ashton, Chief Information Officer, Holmes Murphy.
