About us
The Accounting Society is a student-run organization designed to provide networking opportunities for and information to students who are majoring in, interested in, or considering accounting and the many career opportunities it offers.
How to join
- Contact the Accounting Society faculty advisor Mary Murphy at mary-murphy-1@uiowa.edu and ask to be added to the email and membership list for the Accounting Society.
- Attend meetings with fellow student members. The Accounting Society meets regularly on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in Room W401 PBB. We often have speakers present from various accounting firms and companies, as well as host professional development and networking opportunities. Everyone is welcome to attend meetings!

As a member of the Accounting Society, you will have opportunities to network with fellow students, including accounting majors, and industry professionals and learn about the many opportunities available to accounting majors.
